St. Regis hotels are at the higher end of Starwood Hotels portfolio ‘Luxury Collection’ and well known for their grand designs, which are elegant and stately, whilst offering service that’s noted as impeccable and unprecedented excellence.
Although, more discreet in appearance than the Flagship property in New York, St. Regis San Francisco does have all this, however with a modern twist opposed to the more vintage antique appearance one may have seen before.
Its distinguishing feature is its vast lobby full of large windows and a mix of neutral fabrics, high ceilings and lush furniture which is also home to the bar, a lounge area with concierge and front desk adjacent.
The rooms are deceptively spacious and luxurious down to the last detail, air conditioned and equipped with state of the art panel which controls lighting, temperature and motorized window coverings, you can also use this snazzy systems to make calls including the concierge and butler. Bathrooms are appointed with 13” LCD television and features deep soaking tubs glass-enclosed stone shower with a mounted rainfall showerhead, and a detachable handheld shower.
Deluxe rooms feature a spacious oversized work area with large writing desk and a comfortable chair. Guests have access to three telephones with personalized voice mail and a customized phone/fax number. A fax/copy/scanner/printer machine will be delivered to your room upon request. Distinct design features include a recessed closet system that conceals shelving, drawers, mini bar, and CD/DVD player.
The hotel also boasts, a full spa, business centre and dining facilities.
I stayed here in May 2009, I travelled alone for work.
