"A fine luxury hotel offering 5 star service and breathtaking views"

Furnished in the distinctive rich reds and burnished gold of the Mandarin Oriental chain, this hotel is more low-key than some of its sisters, more suited to guests looking for peace and quiet than hustle and bustle. But if a laid-back vibe is your thing, this is a place that you’ll really appreciate.
Towering above the city, the Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco offers breathtaking views that are unmatched by any other hotel in the area, sweeping from the Golden Gate Bridge to San Francisco Bay. The rooms are very comfortable indeed, and include nice little touches such as binoculars in the Golden Gate rooms – for making the most of those incredible views, rather than spying on the locals – and a booklet containing a TV guide, to save you juggling with the remote control.
In-house restaurant Silks combines the toothsome flavours of Pacific Rim and American cuisines and everything is prepared using the finest, locally-produced ingredients. Whether you dine à la carte or choose from the tasting menu, you’ll enjoy deliciously rich, mouth-watering flavours. If you fancy getting expert advice on matching your wine to your nosh, zip along to one of the regular ‘wine dinners’ with resident sommelier, Nicole Kosta, and you’ll soon be sniffing and swirling your vino like a pro.
After dinner, take it easy with a tea from the huge range, or unwind in the elegantly soulful atmosphere of MO bar, to the sound of soft piano music – the perfect way to relax!
